I think I am so lucky, in my foster home I have a foster mom , a foster dad, a cute 5 year old foster brother and a grumpy 10 year old foster dog sister! her name is Shianne and although she is not sure if she likes me, I LOVE her! and I will make her LOVE me too. My little foster brother is a boy, foster mom says he is 5, I am not too sure what that means, but boy oh boy is he fun, he has so many toys you wouldn't believe it, foster mom says I am not allowed to play with them, but I try anyways, but I always get caught, then she says NO! and takes it away, I have my own toys, but his are so much more fun! He has these little cars and when I push them with my nose they move, they are so much fun. Foster brother loves me lots, and when I had to go back and forth from Pet Expo the first weekend, he came with me and foster mom and talked me through the drives there and back. He would tell me when we were going under a dark bridge and when I would cry he would tell me "it's okay, don't cry". Pet expo was good, the volunteers at Misty Creek made me feel safe and I slept most of the time, the busyness and all the people also help me gain some more confidence and become even braver. Oh and I got to see my brothers and sisters, that was awesome, I hope their foster homes are as great as mine.
Since pet expo, I have been growing like a weed and learning more every day. Foster mom says that I am super smart. I think I am too. Foster mom taught me how to sit and I do it on command every time, with treats, I know how to lay down and I am learning shake a paw. I also learnt that when it is time to go outside that I have to sit nice to get my leash on. I bite a bit still, just puppy chewing and I never bite my foster brother or foster dad, just foster mom, and she yelps and says NO, I am learning that I get a lot more love the less I bite and I am okay with that... and they gave me a bunch of stuff that I AM allowed to bite and chew which is great cause I really love to chew. I pretty much follow foster mom where ever she goes... and I am quickly learning to stay out from under the people's feet, getting stepped on sucks!!!!!!!
I am doing really well with my crate training and don't cry at night....I only cry when I have to go in it during the day when foster mom has to run errands or take the boy to school. Foster mom keeps telling me that she is SO proud of me because I ALWAYS poop and pee outside and I always ask to go out by sitting at the back door, psssh that was easy, my foster sister Shianne goes outside so I just copy her and so far so good! Shianne still isn't sure about me, but I am sure about her, I love her and she WILL be my friend!!!!
This past week my little foster brother was on "spring break" so he was home to play with me every day, boy did we have fun! Then I guess this weekend was Easter, I think easter means yummy food cause wow did the house ever smell good! On saturday I got to go over to my foster families grans house... there were soooo many people there, at least 15 maybe 20, there were kids , adults, men and another dog. It was really fun and I got lots of pets and love. For the most part I just hung out on foster moms lap and slept and at dinner time I waited in my crate till everyone was done eating. After such a busy day, I slept like a baby that night.
The rest of this weekend foster mom called "spring clean up". Foster dad spent all day on Sunday cleaning the backyard and fixing the fence. Foster mom tells me that he did all of this for me! I'm so special, up until now I could only go outside on a leash, but now that "spring clean up" is done, I am allowed to go in the back yard and rip around and be my true inner goof cause foster mom says the yard is now "puppy proof", well whatever it is , I love it. I got to play ball, and chase sticks and tried to dig a few holes, apparently thats not allowed so I heard a few NO's and I am pretty good and stopping when I hear that word. Last night we had a fire, foster mom and dad are crazy, fire is dangerous and I stayed as far away as I could. I will never understand these humans. Either way things are going great I am having a ton of fun, growing like a weed and leaning lots. Shianne is starting to like me a little more which excites me I wanna be just like her when I grow up. Foster mom says she will probably start playing with me soon. I can't wait!!! oh one more thing before I go, I got to meet Dave this weekend, his parents adopted him from Misty Creek last month, they tell me he is just a puppy too...but man oh man is he big, He is really nice though and we played a bit.
